Random Selection of Images
GF ImageDeck selects images from a "deck" of all thumbnails in the specified directories. The number of images is specified as part of the configuration. Each time the gallery is "dealt", a new set of images is selected at random from those not already viewed. This is very similar to dealing out a hand of cards. When the deck is empty, the directories are scanned again, the deck is rebuilt, and a new set of randomly selected images is dealt.

Images Drawn from Multiple Directories
When GF ImageDeck generates the image deck, it scans all subdirectories under specified main directory. This allows you to target your source images to only a specific area of your site. It also allows you to provide a diverse collection of images without having to collect them all into one source directory. The majority of GF ImageDeck installations are using it to provide a subset of their member-only images as previews. Having a constantly fresh set of high quality images assures the highest response to your marketing efforts.

Simple Exclusion and Inclusion of Desired Images
Are you concerned with what images you provide to your guests? Do you want to ensure that only certain images are available? Rest assured .. GF ImageDeck has been designed to help you control what images you provide in the resulting gallery. Because it only uses those images for which a corresponding thumbnail appears, you can prevent an image from showing up simply by removing it's thumbnail. If an image is inappropriate for the public to view, just delete the thumbnail and regenerate the deck .. and that image will be immediately removed .. never to be used again.

Completely Configurable Look and Feel
You've spent hours and hours perfecting the appearance of your site. You want that same "look and feel" to carry over to every page, even those created automatically. GF ImageDeck provides a large number of configuration and appearance values that can help you do just that. Simply adjust a few of the values in the script file and the pages created by GF ImageDeck will be identical to any you create by hand .. including CSS page style settings!

Selection of Styles - Traditional and Frames-based
Some images lend themselves to a frames-based gallery mechanism, while others work best in a traditional page per image format. Selecting which style you prefer is simply a matter of changing one value in the script. For the traditional format, GF ImageDeck generates an index.htm thumbnail page and separate image pages for each full size image. The frames page format displays the thumbnail page in the left pane, and the full size image in the right. All pages are created including the frameset, thumbnail, full size and even an introductory empty page.

Opportunity to Sell, Sell, Sell
Every time you lose control of what your guests see, you lose a chance to sell them your product or service. GF ImageDeck keeps your guests in your control at all times. When they click on an image, they are never shown a raw image. Not only would it be unprofessional, it would also be a lost opportunity. GF ImageDeck lets you include custom HTML at the top and bottom of every page they see. You may include banners, text, images .. anything you can put on any other HTML page in your site.
